Thulian Merast was an Imperial Navy captain who commanded the Eradicator during the beginning years of the New Republic. Assigned by Moff Kentor Sarne to patrol the Kathol Rift, Merast and his crew died when the Eradicator was critically damaged as a result of a light storm during the search for the FarStar.
