Azarnoush was an Ashalan Sun-Rider. She was wife of Lammassar, one of the ensouled Ashalan and member of the Council of Twelve. Azarnoush was patrolling near Medinaat al-Salaam with her hudband's sister, Mahrokh, when they found a men of the Ivory Kingdoms in the desert. He was hungry and thirsty, so the Riders aided him, saving his life. In return the man, Ghiyath, used his dark powers to kill both Ashalan during the night. Ghiyath was a renegade Ruhmalist who was escaping to the Jewel, and the Ashalan were the unlucky who met the wicked sorcerer.
