P3L-997 was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy on which there was a huge flood rising and increased seismic activity due to the decaying orbit of the planet's moon. In 2003, Stargate Command sent a team together with Dr. Daniel Jackson to help relocate the people. When the SGC sent the virus Avenger to P5S-117, which was modified by Ba'al's scientists and sent it to every other Stargate in the galaxy, the team on this planet was one of twelve teams that didn't make it back to Earth in the first run before the whole Stargate network was taken down.
