Bristol Rovers and Aldershot Town have met just eight times in competitive football, twice in the FA Cup in 2001, once in the League Cup in 2009, once in the Football League Trophy in 2010 and four times in League Two. Aldershot Town should not be confused with the former team based in the same town that was dissolved in 1992, known simply as Aldershot.
