The 1982 Richmond 400 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on February 21, 1982. Dave Marcis took the lead just in time, holding Richard Petty behind him as the rain drops began to fall. The race was called and Marcis had his 5th and final career victory.
