Myst III: Exile takes place ten years after the events of Myst. Atrus invites the player to his home in Tomahna for an expedition to Releeshahn. While there, Saavedro links in and steals the Reeleshahn book. It is up to the player to save it. There are five Ages in Exile: J'nanin, Edanna, Voltaic, Amateria, and Narayan. The game's soundtrack was composed by Jack Wall.
