She went to 1919 because of the fact her cousin Adalbert was killed there. She figured if she was going to die, she wasn't going to do it in a hospital. However, this all changed[after several near-death injuries] when Stellar infused her with Phoenix blood and she began getting better. In 1919, her skills as a psychologist were often used to stall the 'bad guys' who more often than not wanted to stab someone in the throat. She didn't mind though, and actually was morbidly thrilled by this, which of course eventually attracted her to Torineth.
