The Austringer Flight School was a division of the Imperial Academy. Highly regarded, it focused on preparing ace pilots that had passed out of flight school at the Academy of Carida and command training at the Prefsbelt IV Academy to become Wing Commanders. During his brief service with the Imperial Military, Han Solo spent the last part of his training here before passing off as a lieutenant and commanding a TIE Fighter squadron aboard the Star Destroyer Flanchard.
