The Full Guard (完全ガード Kanzen gādo) is a shield that is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. When equipped, the Full Guard negates all Weapon effectiveness bonuses that its holder could otherwise have sustained. As an example, if a Pegasus Knight is outfitted with the Full Guard and are targeted by a Bow-wielding opponent, they would not sustain any bonus damage from the attack. This extends to all other weapon effectiveness bonuses, such as that possessed by Laguz-slaying weapons and Wind magic. As only one Full Guard can be obtained in every play-through, players must thus exercise discretion with whom they outfit the item.
