Searching for potential competitors for his game, Fezhead (with the help of Skull) finally located five couch potatoes and sent them into different levels. Sackhead and Flame were dumped into a fighting tournament, of which Max Ear Wax was one of the possible opponents. However, they chose Vangar the Spatula Constructor, forcing Max to watch from the side. From this position, he was able to laugh at Flame when his space hopper careered out of control. Unfortunately for him, his laughter ceased when the hopper bounced back into him, knocking him out.
