During the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire, the crew of the Ghost is in desperate need of fuel for their ship and for Phoenix Squadron. They plan to steal a shipment of fuel meant for the Empire from a Mining Guild asteroid mine, where they also encounter creatures known as purrgil. Ezra Bridger forms a strong Force connection with the creatures and comes to understand who they are and why they are at the mine.
