The Books in Dead Rising 3 are items that when found, increase the player's abilities in different ways. Books are equivalent to magazines in Dead Rising 2 and share the same name as the books in Dead Rising. There are eleven books available in Dead Rising 3. In comparison, Dead Rising had 24 books and Dead Rising 2 had 28 magazines. Books' effects are cumulative, meaning the same effects the books provide build upon each other, increasing with each book. If another player is carrying one in co-op mode, copies will not appear.
