Cadet Madison Echavez was a year-eleven cadet who went missing with a team of other cadets in Sector 53 during Chaos Day. Cadet Angela Sorvino, who had scored less highly at the Academy in almost every field, claimed to have killed her. After spending days or weeks in the Undercity, the two had eventually emerged in what they believed to be Sector 180 where she had spotted an H-wagon. Echavez had wanted to bring aid, but as they had been involved in hijacking a mopad, Sorvino resisted, and later told Dredd and Dolman that she had picked up a rock and killed Echavez.
