Dykebar is a residential area in the south of Paisley, near Glasgow. It is located just off Barrhead Road. It was a rural area until after the second World War when council terraced homes and a small number of tenements were built. It was similar to the Hunterhill estate nearby. The 1990s saw private housing built in Dykebar next to Dykebar Hospital - an asylum. For an aerial view of the estate follow this link:
