The Higahara Prefecture (ひがはらけんか, Higahara Kenka), known colloquially as simply Higahara (ひがはら, lit. Evil Prairie) is a province located somewhere in northern Japan that is tucked away from the world. That is, Higahara is surrounded by a special barrier, set up by locals long ago, that effectively hides them from the world. This stretch of land cannot be found by GPS or any sort of man-made technology. Also, entry into this guarded location is only possible by uttering the key phrase, which is confidential. Higahara is home to the "spiritually aware" and a haven to the same. In addition, the people are friendly to select Shinigami, those they believe to be honest and trustworthy. Kai Nageki passed through here a few times during his travels.
