Ryan Crocker is the current United States Ambassador to Iraq, since March 26, 2007. Crocker was nominated to that post in January 2007, after his predecessor, Zalmay Khalilzad, was named the U.S Ambassador to the United Nations. Before going to Iraq, he was the Ambassador to Pakistan, and he has also been the Ambassador to Lebannon, Kuwait and Syria.
