Mascot Morty was once one of several Costume Mortys used by the Council of Ricks to increase 'hype' for the Morty craze. However, his Morty Manipulator Chip broke, 'freeing' him. This Morty is good-natured and refuses to abandon his fellow Costume Mortys without giving them a way to mentally escape their miserable lives as cogs in the Council's machine.
