Image: fullcast07.jpg The Weno Gypsies Traveling Bellydance Tribe is a Middle Eastern and Romani dance and music performance group that provides stage and street performances that blend storytelling; comedy; historical fiction; and veil, sword, skirt, and fire dancing with traditional Middle Eastern, Bellydance, and Romani folk dance and music. In addition to performances, the Weno Gypsies Tribe also create fantasy "Gypsy camps," sell costuming, do Henna tattoos, and read Runes. The Weno Gypsies group is the Renaissance Faire performance branch of Ashar Dance Company, Al-Khemia Music Ensemble, and El Genneyya Bellydancing Troupe and is based in Madison, WI. Weno Gypsies have been performing at the Bristol Renaissance Faire since 2007.
