Moshi Hiroko was a shugenja of the Mantis Clan who in 1198 was assigned aboard the Lightning Strike, an escort vessel for a Mantis merchant fleet. One of the ships had been lost, and while they were seeking the cause, Hiroko's ship was crushed by a rided Orochi, killing Hiroko.
