WHEREAS, United States foreign policy in the Middle East is and has historically favored Israeli interests, and WHEREAS, President Bush and Secretary of State Rice's obvious support of Israel in delaying a cease-fire in the recent Lebanese conflict resulted in many more innocent deaths and destruction to infrastructure, and WHEREAS, Israeli air power used in this conflict and the precision and cluster bombs dropped against Lebanese targets and population were supplied by the USA and paid for out of our taxes, and
