King Benetram is the leader of the republic, and ruler of Aspinia. He is a benevolent leader who had, much like his subjects, gotten twisted up in the plot devised by the Bulzome following the war started between the Republic and Empire. He first appears as a major NPC and advisor in Shining Force III Scenario 1: God Warrior of the Kingdom. He does not appear often in Shining Force III Scenario 2: Target: Child of God until the end, but he reprises his initial role towards the end of Shining Force III Scenario 3: Bulzome Rising.
