Gabriel Swartland appeared on Coronation Street in February 2001 as Dr Hughes. Based at Preston General Hospital, he was on duty following the car crash which claimed the life of Susan Barlow and injured her son, Adam. His other credits include roles in Masterpiece Classic, EastEnders, Casualty, The Bill and the 2006 movie The Penalty King.
