The Pitmaster, aptly named, presides over the Path of the Pits. Described as a bald man wearing a coat of chainmail with his fingernails bizarrely filed to sharp points and painted red, the Pitmaster has a somewhat strange appearance. He is apparently a servant of Zagor, but, like his opposite number the Inquisitor, seems to adhere strictly to the terms of the trial he supervises. He only attacks in retaliation when he himself is attacked, and then to devastating effect.
