Richard Kay (16th March 1937 - 1985) appeared in Coronation Street in May 1980 as Keith Sadler, a fellow tenant of Bet Lynch’s at her Ludlow Avenue flat. His career started in the early 1960s and included roles in series such as The Wednesday Play, Dixon of Dock Green, Softly Softly: Task Force, When the Boat Comes In, Juliet Bravo and Shoestring. One of his last roles was in Lovejoy before he died at the young age of 47.
