After discovering rogue American colonel Whitley's plan to transport Thing specimens out of Antarctica via cargo planes, Blake infiltrated the airfield and sabotaged the four aircraft using C4 explosives - detonating them from the air traffic control tower using a sniper rifle. Whitley sent a security team to ambush the Captain and his team, however they were quickly dispatched and Blake escaped down an air-intake vent to Gen Inc's underground weapon laboratory.
