The origin of the hero known as Atlas is unknown, although he is hinted to be the mythical Atlas. (The story describes him as "springing from the pages of history into the world of today.") He possesses superhuman strength. His place of residence is unknown although apparently he can be reached by telegram. In his first and only known case he battles fifth columnists who are stealing weapons from Canada.
