Joan Seward was the therapist who appeared in "Therapy" to treat Ingrid for her post traumatic stress after Vlad pushed her into the sunlight. She was a friend of Miss McCauley's. Joan encouraged Ingrid to open up about her life and her relationships. Ingrid used several words which were connected with vampires, but Joan put this down to fantasising. At the end of the episode Ingrid tells Dr Seward that she will be 'spared' when she is 'Queen of Darkness'. Her confidence restored, Ingrid then tells Erin that the world will see 'a whole new me'.
