The Wo Dao is a sword from the country of Wo. In other words, it is the Ming Dynasty era Chinese name for a Japanese sword. Most of them were used only for display, but among them were some that were actually used in battle. Even as far away as Europe, the sharpness and power of Japanese swords were well-known.
