Kalen was born on the planet of Nar Shaddaa along with his brother Drace. The two grew up with a normal childhood in the Upper City until their mother, Sayana, began dwelling in the darker affairs of life. Every now and again, she would leave her husband and the boys to go out to make herself money through strange ways and wouldn't share a single credit with them. At the age of 16, Sayana eventually left the three and took Drace along with her while Kalen stayed with his father, Palo. Shortly after her departure, Palo fell deeply ill and had to quit his job, leaving Kalen to make money. Palo wanted Kalen to work at his shipping company but Kalen had other plans. Friends of his in the neighborhood joined with a local gang known as the Crossbones and that was just what Kalen did as well. It
