The Detroit Freeze were a Junior "A" team in Fraser, Michigan. They played in the North American Hockey League from 1992 to 1997. In that year they moved to become the Chicago Freeze. The team was known as the Detroit Jr. Wings from 1987 to 1992. The team changed its name when the Detroit Compuware Ambassadors of the Ontario Hockey League were renamed the Detroit Jr. Wings.
