Elena Mendoza is a Character in DEXTER and is newly introduced for Season 5. She is the mother of Jandro Mendoza, an attempted victim of one of the Santa Muerte killers, Carlos Fuentes. After her son had his throat slit by Carlos Fuentes she came to the hospital where he was staying and met Detective Debra Morgan and Sergeant Angel Batista. Debra tried to talk to her but Elena hugged her before she could get a word in edgewise showing she did not blame her for her son's injuries.
