Archduke Ferdinand Ecaz was the ruler of planet Ecaz during the events of the Ecazi Revolt. He lost his throne to the rebels, who had declared their open hostility towards the Empire since the impulsive marriage of Elrood Corrino IX, Emperor of the Known Universe, with Habla of Hassika V. Ferdinand was restored to his throne when Houses Vernius and Atreides sent troops to help the Sardaukar to defeat the rebels. Thus, Ferdinand occupied the Mahagony Throne once more, and, at his death, it passed to his son Armand.
