Fifteen years after Emergence Day, Hollaster served as a crewman on the CNV Scepter. One night, an abandoned ship was spotted alongside the coast of Vectes, with a hold in its side above the waterline. The Sceptor was sent to investigate the ship, and Hollaster was a part of the team sent to board the vessel. They discovered it was called the Steady Eddie, and found blood all over the ship, but no bodies. However, they did find a large part of what appeared to be a tree trunk at an angle oppostite from the hole in the hull. Hollaster reported this oddity to his CO.
