The Geeloniran was the ruler of the Geelan species and the species' various family groups, known as nests. The title was literally translated as "Great Geel" or "Master Geel." Never leaving the Geelan homeworld Needan, the Geeloniran received a cut of all Geelan business transactions and presided over all business and contracts that involved the Geelan as a whole. Before the space station known as Zirtran's Anchor disappeared, the Geelan named Whisk the Elder, who went to confer with Admiral Vence Tabok on said station, was rumored to be the Great Geel.
