Szayelaporro Granz (ザエルアポロ・グランツ Zaeruaporo Granz) was formerly the Octava Espada underneath Sōsuke Aizen, and was regarded as one of his force's most prominent intellectuals. With the invasion of Hueco Mundo by the Gotei 13's Captains, Szayelaporro faced and was eventually killed by Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Ending up in Hell, Szayelaporro initially faced off against the Togabito known as Shuren. Though he was killed in the onslaught, he was soon revived in the pits of Hell as a Togabito himself. Currently, he wanders the entirety of Hell, constantly fighting Kushanāda and experimenting on both himself and them, in order to eventually escape from Hell and begin his conquest to achieve the status of "forsaken" being.
