Tijuana is the 15th largest city in the United States, and is the second largest city in the U.S state of Peninsula, which is located on the Baja Peninsula. Tijuana is part of the Ensenada-Gold Coast-South Tijuana region. Tijuana is favored for its beaches and ocean view. The main social problem in the city is the increase in drug violence, and the large amount of illegal immigrants from Mexico. Established in 1889, Tijuana was an small town and was built up around fishing and farming. The large industries from the East Coast came west, and Tijuana became the center of finances and economy, and is an important city for the US economy.
