Killean jokes that any strangers to town are actually a "demon in disguise from the Northern Reaches", about to turn him into a pillar of ice. He says that they can't blame him for having a bit of fun in such dark times, and tells them that, if they really are interested in demons, there are many in the Glacial Caverns north of town, or he can teach them spells to summon their own. With the return of the Maljin, Killean says that, while the red fog alongside the usual snowfall is a "far cry from summer breezes", he's more than happy to have something different for a change.
