The Battle of Neimoidia was a battle during the Clone Wars, occurring on Neimoidia c. 20–19 BBY between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. While the Separatist Droid Army was able to hold the planet at first, members of the 73rd Shadow Battalion, led by Jedi General Darius Chranell, managed to sabotage the planetary shields, allowing a massive orbital bombardment to be initiated by Captain Jack Nebulax's fleet. The bombardment destroyed many of Neimoidia's grub hatcheries, something that would cause the number of Neiomoidians living on the world to decrease sharply for the next year or so.
