When Joti was 13 years old, his older brother Judah ran away from home, and Joti became the only one in the family who could take over the family business. This made it hard for Joti, because even at the age of 13 he had his heart set on a mlitary career. His father worked him long hard hours forcing him to learn the business, and Joti learned well. Joti has no other family besides his mother and brother, which made him come to realize that he could do more.
