The Vast Expanse was the main Zodiac base in Total Assault: Ultimate Conflict. It was also the first ship to be destroyed by something other than an enemy ship. The Vast Expanse was one of the 379 Combat Carriers to attack Adonias. Combat Carriers are rarities in themselves, so seeing as low a number as 379 was astounding, it would not have been so amazing if it were regular Carriers, which are the main light assault ships in the Zodiac fleet.
