"The Apl Song" is the eleventh track from the album Elephunk. In the song, apl.de.ap talks about his life back in the Philippines and his experience as a Filipino American. The chorus is spoken in Tagalog. A rough translation of the chorus would be as follows: "Come closer friends and listen I have news from my homeland I would like to share stories and the events going on In the promised land". The last part of the song is sampled from A Tribe Called Quest's 1993 song '8 Million Stories'.
