Lloyd Vernet Bridges, Jr. was an American actor who appeared in a number of television series and feature films. He was born January 15, 1913, in San Leandro, CA. Bridges portrayed Izzy Mandelbaum in two episodes of Seinfeld: "The English Patient" and "The Blood". Bridges was best known for his role in Sea Hunt, the most popular syndicated American TV series in 1958. He was the father of actors Beau and Jeff Bridges. Lloyd died of natural causes on March 10, 1998; he was 85 years old. The final season’s episode “The Burning” was dedicated in his memory.
