The Institut Belge des Services Postaux et des Télécommunications (BIPT) is the Belgian independent regulatory body responsible for the postal and the telecommunications sectors. With regard to the telecommunications markets, BIPT is responsible for promoting competition, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework, and protecting consumer interests. BIPT is also responsible for managing certain resources, such as the electromagnetic spectrum and numbering resources.
