The Corn Cob Motel was a motel near St. Francis Hospital in Iowa, and was the place that Kate washed the blonde dye out of her hair. At the Corn Field Motel, Kate also picked up an envelope that contained a wad of cash and a handwritten letter about her mother's illness.
