Psychoplasm is a creation of Hell. It absorbs the thoughts and fears of nearby individuals and manifests them in real life. The entire town of Simmonsville was created from Albert Simmons' memories when his mortal form was killed. The town was made up of fragmented memories of Al's past and Demons manifested themselves when humans would enter.
