David Rapoport (24 July 1910 - 16 December 2000) was a solicitor and Labour Party politician active in the Battersea area. The son of Adolph Rapoport, an Austrian draper naturalised in 1910 and his wife Kate, he was born in Wandsworth. He was admitted a solicitor in 1934. In November 1936 he was selected to contest the London County Council elections in March 1937 at Battersea South. He narrowly failed to be elected. The next county council election was delayed by the Second World War until 1946. Rapoport once again stood at Battersea South and was elected, holding the seat until 1949.
