South America is similar to the one in the OTL up until World War III. They survived the years of famine and nuclear winter better than most areas. By 2013 they have grown in power and have not gotten drawn into economic disasters like Project Last Hope. Tensions grow between Brazil and Argentina as both attempt to dominate the continent. If either is successful, and with current economic trends, they would surpass the Croatian Empire in power by the mid-21st Century.
