An Electro-Optical Waveguide System, or EOWS is a Telian technology that is used in the modulation, regulation and distribution of energy from high-power systems, like fusion reactors. EOWS were designed to avoid having to build extensive plasma waveguide systems, which have made their use extremely perilous. In most cases, an EOWS is fed from an EPWS, an Electro-Plasma Waveguide System, although some experimental devices have attempted to combine the functionalities of both devices, success has yet to be achieved.
