The Morello crime family is the direct ancestor of the Genovese crime family, the oldest of New York City's Five Families. the family existed from the 1890's to 1920's when Giuseppe Masseria became boss the crime family absorbed into the Masseria crime family. The Morello crime family was completely abolished after the Castellammarese War when Masseria was killed.
