Windows Neptune was the first planned NT version which was meant for the home user. It was meant to replace Windows 98 , but instead , Microsoft released Windows ME. Windows ME was eventually replaced by Windows XP , which became the first NT version which merged the DOS line with the NT line. It has a build number of 5111. It appears to be based on Windows 2000 Beta/RC code.
